Call for Childcare Support

The Kenora District Child Care Committee is asking the Province to move
to a Quebec-style model of child care.
Director Barb Jackson says ideally they would like to see parents pay
$7 a day, with the Government picking up the balance of the cost.
Jackson says child care is too expensive for several
Northern families.
Jackson says more operating dollars are needed to provide early
education, daycare spots and special needs programs.
