Another call from the Northwestern Health Unit to boost provincial funding.
In its management report to the Board of Health, Officials say they are only meeting 90% of provincialy mandated programs.
Board Chair John Albanese says they are also being forced to take away from other programs to deal with the recent outbreak of SARS, Norwalk and the West Nile Virus.
Albanese says they are asking municipalities to lobby the Tories.
Since 1998, the Northwestern Health Unit has had the smallest total budget increase in Ontario.
