Fire Season is Off and Burning

If today is any indication, the Ministry of Natural Resources is in for a very busy summer!
Several small grass fires kept crews and the MNR hopping across the region, however all were brought under control.
Information Officer Debbie McLean says the current dry conditions has prompted early movement.
McLean says the forest fire hazard is considered to be high.
Spring activites such as residential brush burning and last minute ice fishing campfires also add to the hazard.
