Call For Provincial Health-Care Help

Thunder Bay-Atikokan MPP Lyn McLeod is calling on the Provincial Tories to provide more funding for public health services.
The Liberal Health critic says the province should be footing more of the foot.
McLeod says the fact that Northern municipalities cover half the cost of their public health services is unrealistic considering programs are mandated by the province.
Northern Ontario communities pay anywhere from 25 to 40% more for the same services in Southern Ontario.
The Northwestern Health Unit is considering a $1.3-million municipal levy increase.
