The Federation of Canadian Municipalities is calling for more federal funding for infrastructure.
The organization says area communities are reaching a breaking point when it comes to paying for infrastructure upgrades.
Board Member Linda Rydholm says communities can longer pay for major upgrades.
Rydholm says municipalities only collect 8% of taxes in the country, but own more than 60% of the infrastructure.
The FCM report card on infrastructure was released in Thunder Bay and Ottawa.
