Pickle Lake Mayor Pushing For East-West Road

Pickle Lake Mayor Roy Hoffman says a proposed north-south road leading to Nakina would have a negative impact on his community.
The road is in the early assesment stage.
Hoffman says it would hurt their ability of providing goods to First Nations communities.
He’s pushing for an east-west all-weather road.
Hoffman says a northern rail line for Cliff’s Resources is a good idea but notes the focus should be on an east-west corridor.
Hoffman has brought the issue up with the government, and says he doesn’t think they were aware of it before.
