Call Made to Protect Boreal Forest

A coalition of environmental groups and Canadian artists including
singer Sarah Harmer are calling on Premier Dalton McGuinty to protect
the Boreal Forest in Northern Ontario.
Wildlands League Spokesperson Anna Baggio says protecting the forest
from logging would help fight climate change.
Baggio says the Government should also be beefing up forest protection to help caribou and the struggling forestry
industry.
McGuinty says the province is working on a plan to reduce the harmful
emissions and take responsibility for the environment.
