The CEO of Sioux Lookout’s Meno-Ya-Win Health Centre is assuring the public that there are no cases of SARS in the community or surrounding First Nations.
Roger Walker says they are taking all precautions directed by the Province and visitor restrictions have been put back in place.
The assurance comes after a visiting physician was sent back home to Toronto and put into quarantine.
The doctor had been in Sioux Lookout and Sandy Lake.
He was from one of the hospitals affected by the second outbreak of SARS in Toronto, but does not have any symptoms of the disease.
Walker says it is a precautionary measure and the doctor did not infect any patients in the region.
