A national group is attempting to draw awareness of child poverty as the federal election campaign enters its final week.
Campaign 2000 has released a series of maps, outlining the rate of child poverty in every federal riding.
Northwestern Ontario has some of the highest rates in the country with the Kenora riding listed as nearly 40%.
The campaign’s national coordinator Anita Khanna says child poverty has been virtually ignored this election, and they’re hoping parties will put forward clear action plans before October 19th.
