Can Leo Help Northern Ontario?

The Nishnawbe Aski Nation is trying to enlist Leonardo DiCaprio in its
fight against a De Beers diamond mine in the Boreal Forest.
Deputy Grand Chief Alvin Fiddler has written to the movie star, asking
him to talk about how the diamond mine could destroy the Boreal Forest in
Northern Ontario.
Fiddler says their concerns are not unlike those raised in DiCaprio’s
latest movie, “Blood Diamond.”
Fiddler says DiCaprio has not yet responded to the letter but the
community hasn’t given up hope.
