Canada Day Forecast And Look Ahead

You won’t need to seek shade Saturday for Canada 150 celebrations across northwestern Ontario.

Bill Laidlaw of Signal Weather Services says it will be cloudy and cool Saturday, with a high of 18.

We aren’t anticipating a lot of precipitation during the day.

Laidlaw notes it should a great night for community fireworks displays as it will be dry, with plenty of cloud cover to act as a background.

He adds it will start to warm up on Sunday and Monday.

By the end of next week, Laidlaw says we will be well above seasonal with temperatures pushing +30.

This will be welcome news as the month of June has no doubt been a wet one across northwestern Ontario.

Laidlaw says as of Thursday, rainfall has totalled 128.9mm, above the normal mark.
