Although the Canadian Blood Services has ended the practice of regional blood donor clinics, they are putting out the call to local residents to make the trip west to give the “Gift of Life”.
CBS says it needs to fill 35,000 appointments across the country in the next three weeks.
To achieve its goal, the Canadian Blood Services is opening its blood collections centres on Boxing Day and New Years Day.
It includes the one in Winnipeg, the closest one for residents in northwestern Ontario.
