Canadian Soldier Dies In Mission Against ISIS

Canada’s mission in Iraq has its first fatality.

A Special Operations soldier has been killed, and three others wounded, in what Canadian Special Forces is calling a “friendly fire” incident.

Sergeant Andrew Doiron was killed – by mistake – on Friday by Kurdish fighters in northern Iraq.

Minister of National Defence Jason Kenney is offering his condolences, adding Canada remains committed to its mission against ISIS.
