Cancer Society Preparing for 2 Events

The Canadian Cancer Society is gearing up for 2 big events in Northwestern Ontario.
Fund-raising Coordinator Margaret Saville says they are hosting a Committee planning meeting tonight (Wednesday) in preparation for the Relay for Life. (June 3rd)
Saville says they are looking for fresh blood to sit on the committee.
The planning meeting is at 6 at the Dryden High School Library.
Meantime, the Cancer Society is also launching its Daffodil Sales campaign across the Region Thursday.
The fund-raising campaign helps off-set transportation costs for patients requiring treatment.
Last year, the Society assisted 336-cancer patients from this area.
Fresh daffodil’s or daffodil pins are available in Dryden (WalMart, IGA, Shoppers Drug Mart, Extra Foods and Canadian Tire), Red Lake, Sioux Lookout, Ignace, Ear Falls, Kenora, Fort Frances and Rainy-River.
