CAO Expecting Snow Removal To Be Over Budget

The never ending snow this fall has caused headaches for motorists, city crews and bean counters.
The City is already looking at being over budget for snow removal.
The City entered this Fall with 85% of its snow removal budget already used up.
Chief Administrative Officer Andre Larabie says you can’t predict how much snow will fall and there’s no reserves set up for snow removal.
Larabie says after the season they will take a look at last year’s planning and rejig their numbers.
He notes they will also have to budget for aging and failing equipment.
Larabie says more money will have to be put into snow removal next year.
