Caribou Droppings #1

The Ministry Of Natural Resources is collecting the

droppings of forest-dwelling Woodland Caribou.

MNR Ecologist Steve Kingston says the at risk species

pellets will help estimate how many caribou are living in

the area.

Members of the MNR, First Nations and General Public are

encouraged to collect pellets and send them in to the

nearest ministry office. Testing will be done at the

Trent University Forensics Lab in Peterborough.
