Cash for Highway Upgrades

A number of roads will be upgraded thanks to the $256 million Northern Highways Program.
Work includes the resurfacing of Highway 17 from Vermilion Bay to Kenora as well as the painting of the Thunder Creek bridge about 14km west of Highway 72.
The Chukuni River Bridge on Highway 125 near Red Lake will also receive a facelift.
