Cat Owners May Soon Need Licence

You may soon need a licence to own a cat in the City of Dryden.
The Police Service has introduced proposed changes to its licence fee structure which includes the addition of cats at a cost of $26.
An animal tag for dogs and cats not spayed or neutered would be $41.50.
Special consideration would also be given to individuals who affix their pet with a micro-chip identifier.
Comments on the proposed changes are being accepted until October 15th at generalinquiries@dryden.ca.
A fine for failing to licence a pet would be $100.
