School teachers with the Catholic Board will get some assistance in the delivery of math programming.
The Northwest Catholic District School Board has received $100,000 from the Province to hire a mathematics facilitator and another $35,000 for travel and training purposes.
Director of Education Mary Catherine Kelly says this should lead to improved student learning.
She expects the position will be filled within the next week or so.
Kelly says while math scores from provincial-wide testing are strong, the addition of a facilitator can only help improve those marks.
