Catholic Board Continues To Look At Possible High School Programming

The Northwest Catholic District School Board is moving ahead with more consultations on the idea of building high schools in Dryden and Fort Frances.

Officials note they continue to work with the Ministry of Education, parents, students and staff on the proposal.

A series of four information brochures will be available in area schools and communities.

The literature will highlight the provincial history of Catholic Secondary School programming, a current look at Catholic High Schools as well as current programming needs in the northwest.

Parent information sessions are also being finalized at St. Joseph’s School in Dryden and St. Frances School in Fort Frances.

A link will soon be available on the Board website to communicate information to parents regarding the feasibility of secondary programming in the district.

Staff are expected to deliver a feasibility report to the Board by May.
