The Director of Education for the Northwest District Catholic School Board says they are making good progress on meeting the targets set aside in their five year strategic plan.
The plan is based on four main pillars; catholic faith formation, student achievement, responsible handling of resources and student and staff well-being.
Rick Boisvert says there’s still some work to do.
Boisvert says they want to continue on staff development as well as improving math skills.
He adds they want to go deeper in terms of developing effective partnerships between home, school and parish.
Another priority for Boisvert is doing a better job at educating staff and students and providing more support for healthy classrooms.
Boisvert notes they will also continue to strengthen their relationship with Children’s Aid organizations.
