Catholic Board Develops On-Line Learning Plan

A Pivot Plan has been developed by the Kenora Catholic District School Board in case they have to go to all on-line learning.

The Board oversees operations at St. John in Red Lake.

Director of Education Derek Haime says the Ministry of Education requires all boards to have a strategy if an outbreak of COVID-19 shuts down their schools.

Haime understands that not all students and families can’t necessarily transition to an at-home model for learning with 24 hours notice, so they have built contingencies into the system.

She says part of the plan includes work students can take home and not use a computer, if they don’t have access to one.
