New Assistance Program For Hockey Families

New COVID-19 supports are being made available for you to put your kids in hockey this season.

The Executive Director of the Hockey Canada Foundation, Donna Iampiere explains it’s as easy as applying to the Hockey Canada Assist Fund.

“To ensure that dollars are available for families and kids that have been impacted from COVID. Our unemployment rates in Canada have doubled since February and we need to be sure that dollars are there to get to the hands of the families and the kids that need it to pay for registration.”

The fund represents a commitment of a million dollars from Hockey Canada.

Iampiere notes “We have a team that will be reviewing all applications and providing opportunity to the candidates that qualify to have up to $500 of registration fees in terms of subsidies paid out to them.”

She notes in addition to applying to access the money, you can also donate to the assistance fund through at https://hockeycanada.ca/en-ca
