The Northwest Catholic District School Board is asking the Province to recognize its unique needs.
Director of Education Mary-Catherine Kelly recently presented a brief to Government officials that outlined 6-specific areas.
She says one call for action is how the Board will be compensated in the amalgamation with the Atikokan Catholic Board.
Kelly says the move cost the board nearly $400,000.
She says the Board is also concerned with rising transportation costs and the lack of information released on the move towards a full-day kindergarten program.
