Catholic Board Expected To Receive More Money

The Northwest District Catholic School Board is anticipating an increase of more than $532,000 in funding next school year.

Projections have the board bringing in more than $19.9-million.

The Board is anticipating an increase in enrolment of 26-students but officials warn the funding will drop if they don’t get close to that level.

Director of Education Rick Boisvert says they have identified four areas under their strategic plan where they want to build on.

Priorities include include student and staff well-being, utilizing all of their services, student achievement and faith based learning.

Boisvert adds they are expecting extra money for capital work and notes the next step is determining which projects are the most important.
