Contingency plans are in place as the Community Care Access Centre unionized employees strike enters its first week.
CCAC’s across the region say they’re working with all partners to ensure patients continue to receive the care they need.
For instance, they say patients receiving care in homes, schools and clinics will continue to receive these services as per their individualized care plans.
Patients being seen by a visiting nurse, therapist or personal support worker will also see no interruption.
