Yet another pivotal day in the James Street bridge saga.
Thunder Bay Mayor Keith Hobbs says CN Rail has now presented its latest offer and it’ll be examined behind closed doors this evening.
Hobbs says he’s seen the offer but won’t say what it contains.
The mayor defends the secrecy surrounding the meeting by saying it’s considered a property matter and as such, requires it to be handled in-camera.
The bridge has been closed to vehicle traffic since October of 2013 after a fire scorched the structure.
Since then Thunder Bay and CN Rail have been in a stalemate over who will be responsible for fixing it.
