The Community Care Access Centre in Kenora & Rainy River Districts will be able to finish the year in the black.
The home care provider had been facing a $600,000 deficit, but a $1.1 million funding announcement made last month will wipe out the red ink.
Executive Director Karen Ingebritson says the funding amounts to a 15% bump in their base budget, which was the largest increase for any CCAC in the province.
She says the funding will help them expand services for chronic & palliative care patients.
