The Northwestern Ontario chapter of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities is holding a celebration of women in municipal politics event on Wednesday in Thunder Bay.
This region boasts a 30% participation rate for women in municipal councils.
The Provincial Average is 23%.
Dryden Mayor Anne Krassilowsky will be among the guest speakers.
