Cell Phone Withdrawal Setting In Across Area

After over 24 hours, TBay Tel technicians are still working to restore cell service to customers across a large part of the Northwest. The loss of signal, which began at 8:30 Friday evening, has disrupted service to all TBay Tel Mobility customers between Ignace and Kenora, including Dryden, Fort Frances, Red Lake and Sioux Lookout. While customers can still text and browse the internet via wifi links, it is impossible to make or receive calls or to access cellular data. (Updated 10:12 PM Aug 1)
