Census report-Valley

An increase in the number of people living in aboriginal communities, and immigration are the main reasons behind the increase in the population in the Kenora District.

That’s the feeling of Kenora M.P. Roger Valley.

The population in the riding has increased by about four percent, and Valley suggests the government should use the information to provide more funding to first nation communities.

The census shows that the population in the Kenora District has increased to over 64 thousand people, up from 61 thousand five years ago.
