Centennial Quilt Now on Display

Dryden area students have become a big part of Centennial Celebrations.
Kids from grades 3 to 8 got together to create a 14-panel quilt comprised of 833 individual squares.
Project Lead Mardi Plomp says students were given materials and asked to design and sew a square that represented what Dryden means to them.
Plomp says the quilt is 102-feet wide if all pieces are sewn together.
The quilt is on display at the Dryden Centre.
A special assembly, open to the public, is planned for Friday morning at 10 at the Centre.
