CEP-Abitibi Ratify New Contract

A 5 year contract between the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union and Abitibi-Consolidated has been ratified.
The Company says the wage hike amounts to 11% over the term of the agreement and includes a 70 cent an hour increase in the first year.
The deal affects workers in Kenora and Fort Frances and final voting numbers have not been released.
