CFIB Wants Tax Cuts Now

Businesses in northern Ontario are lobbying for cuts to the education tax sooner rather than later.

The Canadian Federation of Independant Business launched a campaign urging its members in the region to write to Northern Development and Mines Minister Michael Gravelle.

Satinder Chera is president of the CFIB and says the province has promised a 540 million dollar cut to business education taxes, but the seven year phase in is too long.

N002 Q: …sooner. (18 secs.)

Chera says they also spoke with Dr. Bob Rosehart and urged him to include business tax cuts in his final report to the province today.
