Businesses in northern Ontario are lobbying for cuts to the education tax sooner rather than later.
The Canadian Federation of Independant Business launched a campaign urging its members in the region to write to Northern Development and Mines Minister Michael Gravelle.
Satinder Chera is president of the CFIB and says the province has promised a 540 million dollar cut to business education taxes, but the seven year phase in is too long.

Chera says they also spoke with Dr. Bob Rosehart and urged him to include business tax cuts in his final report to the province today.
