A number of Dryden residents were involved in what looks to be a new Guinness World record.
395-people helped create the longest skating chain on Sunday at the Forks in Winnipeg.
Dryden’s Karly Tardiff was one of the main organizers of the fundraiser for Cancer Care Manitoba.
Tardiff says roughly $145,000 was raised, noting their original goal was $20,000.
The previous record was 370-skaters set in Japan in 2015.
The milestone still has to be verified by the Guinness Book of World Records.
Tardiff says the support they received was overwhelming, noting everyone braved the frigid temperatures to help break the record.
