Chalk Drawing Confusion

It may have been a case of bad timing as residents in the City of Dryden
awoke to find chalk drawings left behind by the Youth Action Alliance in
the heart of Downtown Dryden Friday morning.
The Alliance, which has been agressively campaigning to limit youth smoking, left ther mark in the middle
of a visit by the Communities in Bloom Judges.
After a number of complaints the City asked that the drawings be cleaned up by those who left them.
Alliance Member John Skeen says it was with the best intents that the messages were
drawn and he apologizes for any inconveinence.
An anti-graffiti By-law is on the books in the City of Dryden and while the messages were not meant to offend,
City Officials say they could be mistaken as acts of vandalism.
