There’s a call for Premier Doug Ford to do away with the former Liberal government’s labour legislation which was passed last year.
Charla Robinson is with the Northwestern Ontario Associated Chamber of Commerce and she says area business owners have had trouble adapting to the new laws dealing with an increase to the minimum wage as well as personal emergency leave and mandatory vacation changes.
Robinson points out that it wasn’t just a couple of changes, it has been a case of adapting to some 100-adjustments.
She says the reforms were too much, too fast.
Robinson says they are joining forces with other Chambers in Ontario to call on the Ford government to repeal Bill 148.
