The Dryden District Chamber of Commerce continues to work on its strategic plan and two items not fitting the new criteria are the Canada Day and Santa Claus Parade.
In a letter to Council, the Chamber states that they no longer wish to be the lead and is asking the City to assist them in the preparation of this years events to ensure a smooth transition to another group
The letter states that it’s been a pleasure and privilege to run the events but demand on volunteers, board members and staff have made it difficult to continue operating the parades at the level of service the community has come to expect.
