Changes May Be Coming To School Calendar

Teachers and students should be able to enjoy their Labour Day long weekend a little more next year.
The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board has agreed to start the school calendar in 2014 after the September long weekend.
The public school board made the decision after conducting an on-line survey of parents, staff and students this fall.
Before the new calendar can go into effect, it also has to be approved by the Kenora Catholic and Northwest Catholic District School Boards, so they can co-ordinate their school bus service next year.
