The highway between the Ontario boundary and Winnipeg will soon have a new name.
The Manitoba government has announced that stretch of the Trans-Canada is going to be re-named the Terry Fox Memorial Highway.
Premier Greg Sellinger also announced over $110-million in upgrades for Highway 1 west of the boundary.
It will include new pavement, intersection improvements and a couple of bridge replacement projects.
