A private members bill allowing newer models of all-terrain vehicles access to provincial highways is close to becoming law.
Second reading of the bill put forward by NDP MPP John Vanthof has received unanimous approval at Queen’s Park.
The bill proposes to give side-by-side and two-up ATV’S the same access to the shoulders of highways as the traditional handlebar models.
It now heads to the committee level for input before returning for a third and final vote.
