Aboriginal Communities Receive New Partnership Funding

Four first nation communities in the Kenora District are being promised $50,000 under a new program announced by the provincial government.
Wabigoon Lake, Pikangikum, Sachigo Lake and Grassy Narrows will be getting grants from the New Partnership Fund.
Wabigoon Lake will hire someone to gather, verify and manage all land-use related information.
Grassy Narrows will use the money to partner with a couple of other first nations to carry out a resource management plan for the Whiskey Jack Forest.
Pikangikum will hire a coordinator for the Whitefeather Forest Plan.
Sachigo Lake will use its funding to hire a mining coordinator.
