The Federal Government has proposed several changes which should make
it easier for owners of long guns to keep their firearms.
The Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters says people who have a
possession only license will be able to re-new it, even if its expired.
Spokesperson Greg Ferrant says the new regulations could affect more
then 100,000 firearm owners.
Ferrant says the Government has agreed to extend a waiver for fees to renew their license.
The new regulations are scheduled to go into effect on March 28th.
