There are changes coming to how moose are hunted in the province.
The Wynne government says it’s in response to concerns about a reduced population of the animal in certain parts of Ontario.
The province says it will shorten the season for moose calves in the north this year and delay the beginning of the moose hunting season across the north by one week starting next year.
This year there’ll also be a 15% reduction in the number of moose tags awarded to resident hunters.
