A 40-year-old Pickle Lake man has been charged in connection with a four car pileup on Highway 17 over the weekend.
OPP say the crash happened Friday afternoon when a westbound vehicle stopped to make a left-hand turn off the road.
A second vehicle stopped, but a third vehicle (a Ryden Cube van) failed to stop in time and crashed into the vehicle in front of it.
A fourth car then hit the van.
Police say five people were taken to Kenora hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
One person was later transferred to Winnipeg for further treatment.
The Pickle Lake man has been charged with following too close.
