Charges Laid in Fatal Incident

A 19-year-old Whitedog First Nation man has been charged with second degree murder in connection to the death of a 35-year-old man.
Treaty Three Police were called to a residence in the Kenora-area community early Sunday morning after a the body of James Scott was found.
Justin Carpenter was initially charged with aggravated assault, but the charges were upgraded to second degree murder as a result of the post-mortem exam.
