Greyhound Bus Service Has Been Maintained

Good news for those who rely on Greyhound Bus Service.
The company has announced that passenger service in Northern Ontario will be preserved for now.
There will be some service reductions effective January 17th, however Greyhound will continue to offer 2-daily trips from Thunder Bay to the Manitoba Boundary.
The company says bus service from Thunder Bay to Sudbury will be reduced by 1-trip a day.
Vice-President Stuart Kendrick says the company has indicated for months it could no longer sustain current financial losses without making adjustments to its existing operations.
He says the cuts are designed to relieve some of that financial pressure pending the outcome of the federal-provincial-territorial working group which is due to report in September 2010.
