A Minnesota man has been ordered to pay eight thousand dollars after a forest fire broke out near Fort Frances.
The Ministry of Natural Resources charged the man after he failed to put out a fire he started.
The incident happened July 3rd on an island on Rainy Lake.
The fire continued to spread, forcing the MNR to dispatch a water bomber and fire crews to bring it under control.
The blaze cost the MNR more than 17-thousand dollars to put out.
