Fire Situation in Red Lake District

Forest fires are blanketing Northwestern Ontario.
Dozens of new fires have started this week, including several which remain out of control in the Red Lake area.
Ministry of Natural Resources spokesperson Dave Anderson says the largest fire is burning 35-K north of Red Lake and has consumed over two thousand hectares.
The blaze is producing a cloud of smoke over Red Lake and has even drifted south to such communities as Dryden and Kenora.
The fire has forced the closure of North Road, just off Nungusser Road.
