Provincial Police in northwestern Ontario are warning of a scam that’s originating out of Calgary.
Someone has acquired cheques from a business in the Alberta city and randomly distributing them locally.
Police say if you receive a cheque you were not expecting, do not cash it.
Call police or Crime Stoppers instead.
